A PCF8574T-based adapter for connecting a compatible 1602 or 2004 parallel LCD to an I2C bus. It reduces the controller-side signal wiring and provides address selection through the adapter pads. Scan the bus for the fitted address and match the software pin mapping. Check the LCD supply and I2C pull-up voltage before connecting a 3.3 V controller. The LCD itself is a separate product.
