An adjustable LM2596S-based DC step-down module for reducing a higher DC supply to a lower output. Set the trimmer and measure the output with a meter before connecting the load. This is the standard module without a voltmeter. The LM2596 IC is rated for up to 3 A with an appropriate circuit and operates at 150 kHz; the assembled board continuous-current and input limits depend on its components and cooling and have not been measured.
